Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using CC Editor ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
CC Editor is a free online tool for creating, sharing and printing bridge convention cards. It supports the EBU 20B and WBF card formats, allows longer explanations to be recorded as system notes, and produces print-ready PDFs.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.
4. User Accounts
Signing in works by emailing a six-digit code to your address; there is no password. You are responsible for maintaining access to the email account you sign in with, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.
One person, one account. Do not sign in as somebody else.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service, including by automated or high-volume requests
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Submit false or misleading information
We may suspend or ban accounts that break these rules, and remove content that does.
6. Your Content
You retain ownership of the convention cards and system notes you create through the Service ("Your Content").
Convention cards on the Service are public. By creating a card you accept that it is visible to everyone, including people who are not signed in, and that other users may view and copy it. A copy another user makes becomes their own content, and remains theirs even if you later delete your original or your account.
By submitting Your Content, you grant CC Editor a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, process, and display that content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service. This licence ends when you delete the relevant content or your account, except where the content has already been copied by others or where we are required to retain it by law.
You are responsible for Your Content and confirm that you have the right to submit it. In particular, do not upload material that infringes somebody else's copyright. We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.
7. Storage Allowance
Each account has a storage allowance covering its cards and system notes. If you reach it, you will be asked to delete something before saving more. We may vary the allowance, and may set a different allowance for individual accounts.
8. Intellectual Property
The software, branding and design comprising the Service itself (as distinct from Your Content under Section 6) are owned by Stephen Turner or licensed to us. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without prior written permission.
The convention card layouts reproduced by the Service are the property of their respective governing bodies.
9. Fees
The Service is provided free of charge. If paid features are introduced in the future, they will be subject to additional terms presented to you at that time.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms. You may ask us to delete your account at any time by contacting us.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
A convention card produced with the Service is your own declaration of your partnership's agreements. It is your responsibility to ensure it is accurate and complies with the regulations of the event you are playing in. We do not warrant that any card is complete, correct, or permitted under any particular set of regulations.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stephen Turner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of the cards you create. Please keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose — every card can be exported as a PDF.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Contact
If you have any questions about these Terms, please contact us at [email protected].
